Epicenter Exchange is a free, solo-built, non-profit reading room for people who want to understand markets without being sold to.

Why this exists

Most personal-finance content in India is one of three things: a brokerage funnel, an influencer's paid “research” call, or a recycled US blog post that doesn't account for SEBI, STT, LTCG, or the way EPF actually works.

This site tries to be a fourth thing: slow, careful, math-grounded writing for the reader, not the advertiser. Every article is built around real historical data. Every calculator returns a real number. Every line of algo code is in the public repo and you can read it before running it.

If you came looking for tips, signals, or “multi-bagger picks,” you are in the wrong place — and that is the point.

Numbers before opinions

If a claim can't be backed by data or an explicit assumption, it doesn't get published.

Disclose, don't dramatise

Every signal, every backtest, every essay carries the same disclosure: not advice, past performance is not predictive.

No ads. No affiliates. No paywall. The only cost is the domain, paid out of pocket.

Every page, calculator, and algo lives in a public MIT-licensed repo.

The goal isn't reach. It's for one reader to make one slightly better decision.

What we explicitly do not do

If a service sounds like advice, we don't offer it. Here is the full list of things we will never do, even if asked:
  • We do not give investment advice. We are not a SEBI-registered Investment Adviser, Research Analyst, or distributor.
  • We do not run a tip group, a Telegram channel of buy/sell calls, or a paid “mentorship” programme.
  • We do not take affiliate commissions from brokers, funds, exchanges, or any product mentioned.
  • We do not predict markets, forecast prices, or claim accuracy figures. Anyone advertising “95%+ accurate signals” is misleading you and probably violating SEBI / SEC / FCA rules.
  • We do not run advertising or sell email addresses.

The only way to interact with the site is the contact form. There is no chatbot, no live support. We reply within a few days when we can.
