Privacy Policy

Short version: We don't track you, we don't run advertising, we don't sell anything. The site is static HTML on GitHub Pages. The only personal data we ever see is what you voluntarily type into the contact form or newsletter signup.

1. Who we are

Epicenter Exchange (“the site”) is a non-commercial, educational website operated solo. The site is hosted on GitHub Pages and the source is open on GitHub.

2. What we collect

Server logs (GitHub Pages): GitHub may temporarily log IP addresses, user agent strings, and timestamps for abuse prevention. We do not access or store these logs separately. See GitHub's privacy statement.
Contact form: when you submit the form, your name, email, topic, and message are sent through Formspree, who relays them to us. See Formspree's privacy policy.
Newsletter: if you subscribe, your email address is stored by Buttondown solely for the purpose of sending the newsletter. See Buttondown's privacy policy.
Calculator inputs: values you type into the SIP / EMI / retirement calculators are stored only in your own browser via localStorage so they survive a refresh. They are not sent anywhere.

3. What we don't collect

No Google Analytics, no Plausible, no Fathom, no Hotjar, no Meta Pixel.
No tracking cookies, no advertising cookies, no third-party fingerprinting.
No login system, so no accounts and no passwords to lose.

4. Third-party APIs we read from

The home and markets pages fetch live crypto prices from the public CoinGecko API. Your browser makes that request directly; CoinGecko will see your IP address and user agent for the duration of the request. We do not pass any other information.

5. Your rights

If you have submitted a contact form or subscribed to the newsletter, you may write to us via the contact form at any time to ask us to delete your data. Newsletter unsubscribes are one click from the footer of every email.

6. Cookies

See the cookie policy — short version, we don't set any.

7. Children

The site is not directed at children under 13 and we do not knowingly collect data from them.

8. Changes

If this policy materially changes, the date at the top of the page will be updated.
